Sweet I am going to play around with it this weekend! I wonder how long until the whole version will be released? I can't wait!

I have played with it a few times and it's not too bad.

I read what madds wrote about it but I'm alittle confused. Does it give different power levels or just allow you to adjust the TM and TQ more specifically to your wants.

You can adjust timing, duration, rail pressure, etc to suit your needs from idle to WOT, from 0% to 100% load.

It will fine tune your programming for use/mods.

It's an option, and not a requirement for use.

The way I read it is that we will still have the 3 SW levels (Jr.) and a "4th" SW which is our own tune. It will start with the SW3 tune and can be changed while still keeping the original 3 SW levels untouched. So even if you do download the UDC you do not need to ever use it if you choose.

Okay. Thanks for the info. I am going to download the demo and play around with it and see how it works. Sounds great though!

I have been reading threads about the smarty jr for awhile now but i could use alittle advice. I hust got my smarty jr and i just finished a complete paint overhall on my truck. the point is i have no more money in the pockets for a clutch. I bought my truck with 160,000 on it and it is a real sound truck. The clutch might have even been replaced but im not sure, other guys i talk to that had an nv5600 says mine feels really good for havingthat many miles on it. Anyway im wondering what a good setting is to run to keep the damage to a minimal at least until i get some funds going for a southbend or valair. Any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat. I will be doing a clutch on mine this summer but for now I am sticking with SW1. I forget my TQ and TM settings but have them written down at home but pretty much stay on SW1 and you will be fine.

Yeah that's what I figured. I am a pretty conservative driver and never launch at stop lights so hopefully my clutch holds out for alittle while.

? on the Smarty JR,, setting on the low 40hp setting does the engine sound any different at idle. I do not like the way mine sounds it has a lot of crackling or knocking sound. it is the 04.5 325 HP Cummins

I don't believe any of the Jr tunes modify anything with the idle, thou you will be able to do this with UDC.
