It will make your truck go faster, be more responsive and put a huge smile on your face..................... until your trans goes out from the added power.

It will make your mileage go up, your injectors last longer and yes, I only got 128K out of my trans running on 100 hp pulling loads.

BUT

I would NEVER remove my Smarty. NEVER.

Turbo lag is almost eliminated. Fuel mileage goes up a smidgen. You can turn the power down when you don't need it to reduce strain on the trans, drive line and rear. Turning the power down also makes it easier to drive in the snow.

One thing not mentioned...it will probably make you wish you'd bought a Sr!

Possibly, but depending on your goals that may not be true.

I have never wanted a Sr, the Jr has done all I could imagine and with UDC around the corner it will do even more!

You're right...the Jr completely meets my practical, logical reasons for purchase. It's incredibly easy to use (no worries about parameters and whatnot) driveability is much better, and economy is up.

Unfortunately, I also bought it hoping to keep the stock clutch, and when that didn't happen, I started to realize for only another $200 I could have had a lot of extra room to play. Granted, my knowledge has changed somewhat, and with it my confidence to not break things but in the long run, I think I would have been money ahead to buy the Sr and then add supporting upgrades instead of buying the Jr, adding upgrades, and then getting a Sr.

I wonder if I can convince Mr Wagner to start a trade-up policy

What is UDC for the JR? Haven't seen or heard of that.

Didn't read anywhere where it said it would apply to the JR. Unless I missed it somewhere in the literature.

From the MADS website. "UDC stands for User Defined CaTCHER. The Smarty UDC tuning software (PC based) is an ADDITION to the already existing Smarty tuners. This means that the tuning software can be used with any Smarty product, both already sold or new. "

Did anyone try the demo yet for the UDC? Might have to play around with that this weekend or maybe read into it more!

I have. Looks like it will be pretty easy to mess with. The demo does not have any tips on how do set your tune up, but the released version will. I messed with it for about 20 mins. I like it!
