I REALLY like my CARR SuperHoop steps shown in your first post. Nerf bars bend to easy if you get off the pavement and N-fab bars are nice, but only for the man with deep pockets. I bought 2 sets of Super Hoops off Ebay from different sellers. They are both the older mount style, but I made them work and nothing has come loose in a year and a half. I spent $85 total, compared to brand new ones for $280 (2 pair) or N-fab's for $400-500.
Let me get a picture of them posted before you decide.

Since my Carr Super Hoop steps don't have the newer universal mount, I used a stainless bolt through the pinch weld and stainless screws into the back of the rocker panel (2 bolts, 4 screws in each step). Since the back of the rocker panel is not vertical, I used washers to shim the back side of some of the screws, but it worked good.
I think the newer mount only uses 4 screws per step.

Here's .02 more. If you want a step that is far enough out from under the truck to use when you get out as well as in? I had tube type and alum. tred plate that are under the truck to far and about impossible to get your foot on as you get out. I don't know what brand they were but my 04 had molded board that started at the front of the front fender and went all the way around the rear fender. Had two steps for the doors and one for the bed. Only bad side was they did lower my clearance some. If your not off road they were the best I've had. They also stop the mud from the front tire and rear tire from getting on the side of the truck.
