Guys, I really enjoy my 05 CTD, quad, 2wd. long bed, but you know.........buy vehicles is still a "crap shoot".

I bought a brand new 03 Mazda 6S sedan back awhile, and I spent more time having warranty work done on that car. Check engine lights, fan module replacement, warping frong brake rotors, and a rack and pinion steering replacement. There were other things too........Had that ECU flashed, I don't know how many times. I actually traded it in on the O5 Dodge..........Most likely the next owner of that Mazda won't have any problems as I probably worked out all the "bugs" over the two years that I owned it.

Anyway.......I hope I don't have the problems with my O5 CTD that a couple earlier posters have had........I do feel your pain...........though.........it is frustrating.

I would say that the initial poster may have a Lemon Law suit there.......and could get Dodge to replace his 06 with a brand new one.

I spent more time in rented cars while that Mazda was being worked on..............I can't count.

We actually bought a new 05 Mazda MPV as I still like what the brand offers.......it's my wifes commuter vehicle. It's been very reliable.

Yes, I've learned that new cars are a "crap shoot"....any brand can be a "crap shoot".

By the way that 03 Mazda 6S was a "first year model", and that might have had something to do with the problems. I don't think I'll ever go for a new model until it's been out atleast a year. That also goes for existing vehicle models that have undergone major changes too. I'll wait a year to buy after a major change in an existing vehicle model too.

Nah, actually I wish I had bought some stock back before Iacocca straightened them out. Be sitting pretty good, right about now.

Just trying to help you out, pal. But, if you are more content to sit around and whine and infer things, rather than take some advice, that's your prerogative. Next time, I'd just keep your thoughts to yourself, rather than waste everyone's time.

Apparently, I misunderstood the purpose of your original post. I figured you were looking for some help, as I think the other folks did. Obviously, we were all wrong.

And, if you took the time to read my post, you would see that in no shape or form, was I saying that it was acceptable behavior that you got from the 3 dealers. Same reason there are multiple fuel companies, shipping companies, retail stores, etc...you have a choice. Find a good one, and stick with them.

Or, don't do anything, keep stewing and POing people on the boards. Won't affect me, much...still going to try to help the people that want the help.

To each his own, I guess...

i didn't want to post anything on this thread, but...

one: you should not go around and bad mouth DC because your FLAT RATE, NO-PROBLEM-FOUND dealerships treat you like c**p. like the rest of the posters have said you need to involve your higher-ups like the DC district manager and so on!
two: as a diesel tech for Dodge, i like to think i go out of my way to help a fellow diesel owner(or any vehicle owner) to get their vehicle working correctly the first time, but i cannot help the fact that my parts dept. or local DC parts depot may not have the required parts your vehicle needs. i will rob a part of a stock truck, you'd better believe it!

I am done, this thread is personal to the techs that populate this forum.

Chevy and Ford are going to bankrupt on their diesel problems because they would rature give a new vehicle then fix a "fix-able" truck, i dont see DC making that mistake!

With all do respect! I went to the higher-ups (DC), and they did little to nothing for me. Told me they were going to do a buy back and they would be getting back in touch with me. They never did. I was the one to call them back and find out, that a buy back was never even said (Liars). The Dealership I was dealing with, while stationed in Cali didn't know who their district manager was, so again I call DC and they didn't even know who the district manager was, that I needed to find out from the dealership. Boy, did I ever get the run around. A DC Rep was also the one who told me, I was pretty much scr*wed and to deal with the problems I had with my truck, instead of trying to come to a resolution. The problem lies with the senior leadership (DC). Now, not all dealers service departments are bad, I found one here in PA, finally, that has gone above and beyond for me.

you just explained what i just wrote. IT IS THE DEALERSHIPS THAT NEED TO STEP UP AND HELP FIX YOUR TRUCKS. the dealership is the reflection of DC, not your district manager, which if your service manager is doing a CORRECT job, you, as the customer, should never met the DM. again dealerships are getting lazy and bury their head in the sand when troubles come! you have to find a good hourly dealership with the best personal. problem fixed!

Sorry guys, I wasn't watching close enough and mommy must have let somebody play on her computer again

Thank you guys for trying so hard to keep the thread on track even though you were being insulted by the very person you were trying to help. You won't have to deal with him again.
