To check your codes you turn the key off then back on 3 times without turning the truck on. You will end at on (where your lights will be on) then where your mileage is, it will display some codes that start with "P" could be 1 or more when it is finished it will say "done" in the display. Let us know what codes your popping.

Personally, if I were you, I'd replace ALL the injectors. Its tempting to just replace 1, but if you have a few miles on her, I'd slap in all 6 and KNOW things are ok.

I thought I would do that, replace all of them at one time like you said. why is the gasket set so hi on these things. Didn't get to get out there today and take it apart, had snow again and i love it. We need the rain real bad and water. Oh I have 144,000 miles on her. Is F1 the best place to get injectors if the cylindeer is ok?

Thanks!

But shouldn't they have a safty device on it to keep this from happeing? they could program the fuel system that when you apply the breaks, the fuel system will not let it run away no mater what? I don't know, I have an old masters in computers back when we programed in cobal, fortran, and had puch cards and real to real and quit after quick basic. But an improm is easy to program. They do with those bully dogs and such so why couldn't Chrysler program their computer to stop pumping fuel into the cylinder and maybe casueing a dead cylinder? Even the service manager in Canon city said she seen it take off in her shop?

Thanks J.R.

Injectors

Hi every one,
Do the injectors on my 2006 un-screw or do they pop out after you remove the bolts?

Thanks J.R.

They pop out. It make take a little help from a small pry bar. Don't get crazy with them. It doesn't take much. Don't forget to pull the feed tubes from the drivers side of the head.

It may seen like it would be easy to write a program to do what you want but it also cost a lot of $$$ an testing and on and on, also trying to get the Government involved is not the answer when based on your post its an injector problem not computer, IIRC you said you could shut the engine off with the key.

BTW if you want a way to stop the engine just rig up a way to shut off all incoming air to the turbo, the engine will not run without air.
