I have a 2006 5.9 and just did a compresion check and #1 was 0 and all the rest were around 250.

Any one know of a good place to get a used engine or a rebuilt one or can I rebuild this one myself?

I think I would go the used route if time is a factor, most of the time these engines run 350xxx. Sorry to hear you had bad luck with yours, how many miles on your engine, any idea what caused the failure?

 

Get a used one and fix your old one and sell it, might break even.

Didn't think about that. Can you sleve these engines and or bore them out?

 

Judging from this link: ISB Cylinder Sleeve I'd say you can re-sleeve for repair. And re-bore .040-.060 is not a problem either. If you go much bigger than .060 you'll need to consider new pistons as overbore rings tend to break as the bore gets bigger.
