RPM's

At idle, what rpm's are your 600's turning? Mine seems high and I wanted to see what everyone else was seeing.

Did you know that there is no such term as "RPM's" ? The term is RPM. It's already plural and stands for Revolutions Per Minute. Any number of revolutions more than one. Why do so many people write this as RPM's? It's not a possessive form of a noun.

Westspirit.. Sounds like your an English teacher. That being the case, did you know that your ? mark belongs inside your quotation marks?. Did you also know that there is no such thing as a "Std. cab HO, it should be std. cab, H.O.?. Just kidding!.

Mine is 750 also. That hasnt changed with fueling/boost box or TSB 18-037-04. The idle is rougher and noiser now, but still 750 on the nose.

falcondan,

Thanks for straightening me out. No, I'm not an English teacher, but that RPM thing just bugs me.

I've never thought about the RPM's thing before, but, what if you had some kind of gear reduction where what you were measuring was actually only turning once ever minute (or less). How would you express that? (I'm not trying to give you a hard time, you just made me start thinking ) It seems to me you would still say 1 RPM.

It's like in the computer industry. When referring to the network card, some people will say NIC card when NIC actually stands for Network Interface Card. Just something to bug us with.
