Rough idle and takes long time to return to idle

My friends truck is a 06 and it has really rough idle but only
when the AC compressor is not spinning, when the compressor kicks on it idles smooth as glass, if u turn the ac off it idles rough always.. When it is in park and u rev the motor up with the gas pedal and let off it takes about 30 seconds to return to idle, it may stay revved up to 2000 rpms or more and just stay there, another thing is the tach on the dash doesnt worrk correctly, it says like 100 idling and 4,000 at 2,000???? I unplugged the apps while the engine was idling and the idle got even rougher.... He has had problems with the cam sensor before cqn anyone help us out?

Unplug the edge, & put the engine back to stock. does it still do it then. Also, the actual code #'s would be helpfull.

Allrighty ill unhook the all the chips and see what happens.. Why would it run better with the cam sensor unhooked rather than hooked up.. The cam sensor is new and the truck acts the same with both sensors..
