It say`s on the back what it is rated for, even has a cummin`s rating, think it is CJ, so even good for the new new ones, mine is an 06 so im good for CI rating. I broke my motor in on the reg rotella oil.

Yeah it is good stuff, the T6 has some POA mixed in with the base stock. One of the better bang for your bucks your going to get.

Have used the Rotella synthetic oil in our Cummins diesels since 2001 with no issues at all. Change oil arouns 7500 to 10,000 miles.

We have owned 3 Dodge 2500 with the Cummins and have always ran Shell synthetic oil. We work for a major truck manfacture and for about the last 15 years or so, the synthetic oils and lubes are the basic choice for the trucking industry. Mostly because of better luberication, longer run time and the manufactures of the power trains will warranty their products a lot longer.

I used to change oil on the 3406B at about 10,000 miles, and that was regular Rotella 15-40. I have taken the Megacab to 5,000 miles with the 5-40Rotella synthetic. It gets really black, and that really bothers me, so I change it.

Color had nothing to do with the oil still performing. Mine is black 3 seconds after I start it!
