Remote start and key question.

Hi Guys,

Attached is a picture of my key and remote to my 04 Ram Auto.
Is this the "Sentry" Key i've found so much info on?
Does my key have a chip in it?
Do I need to buy an interface kit to install my oem remote start?

Thanks for any info.
JR

yes it does, the remote start I looked at required a key in it also, didn't like that idea.

Just asking for someone to steal the truck with a key in the interface. bad idea.

I have a Viper remote start on mine I don't use the stock remote anymore they added a delay for the diesel wait to start. It also opens and closes the windows and pages me.There are options for other features you can add.It also has the turbo saver mode and alows you to exit and it will run for a preset time and shut off.Or you can have it automatically start and run for 10 min. every 4 or 6 hours. The price installed was $900 and it took the guy all day!!

no way to tell by looking at them any more, just go get a cheap key made at a hardware store and try to drive the truck and if it quits then it is and you will need a bypass,I would use bypasskit.com.
