Redline Mt-90???

Redline Mt-90???

ANYONE USE REDLINE MT-90 IN THIER 6SPEED TRANNYS? I ORDERED 5 QUARTS OF MTL FROM MYOILSHOP.COM AND THEY SENT ME 5 QUARTS OF MT-90. HATE TO GO THREW THE CRAP OF SENDING IT BACK. REDLINE REP TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A LIL THICKER THAN MTL THATS ABOUT ONLY DIFFERNCE. JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS USED IT AND THEIR RESULTS??

You should be fine running the MT-90 in your tranny. It is a thicker viscosity than the MTL, so you may hear a little more noise on cooler days. It may also require a little more effort to shift when cold.

You could always do a 50/50 mix of MTL and MT-90. Then things should be nice and smooth.

Do Not put that MT-90 in your six speed. A recent topic just discussed this issue. Redline even said don't use MT-90 in the NV-5600, their are different alloys than the NV-4500
