Rebuilding my 3rd gen drive shaft

Hey Guy's looking for some advice on rebuilding the drive shaft on my 3rd gen 4x4. I suddenly experianced a very bad vibration whenever the converter locks up in 4th gear ar around 55mph. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on.I suspect the rear U-joint because I heard somthing while backing up into the driveway this afternoon.Thevquestion I have is how far do I go with this?I have heard bad things about this shaft.Would I be better off with the new style one piece deal? If so is it a bolt in or does it need to be cut and resized?
Thanks

Could be a u-joint, carrier bearing, or the slip shaft.

Preaty sure the problem is the rear U-joint. Anyone going to the 08 plus shaft?

an hours worth of work and $20 vs $500 or more u do the math. Did my rear joint a few weeks ago, had the same prob. spicer 5-160x yes it is .010 too big, the spring clips do slightly bulge outward but not enough to bother me....
