When you say "rake", do you mean higher in the rear than the front? Like it came from the factory?

If that is the case, add some Pacbrake or Firestone Air Bags underneath. That will do it for sure.

I was thinking the same thing. Doesn't the leveling kit space the front end up to be even with the back? If so, why not take the kit back out?

I think he wants the rake with the front 2" higher. Just put a Carli, Kore, or Lorenz mini pack in, that will give you another 1".

Obvisualy you missed something I never said I wanted to take out the front springs I asked for rear lift suggestions. Air bags are a good idea or can I go to spring shop and get the rear springs beefed up

Booboo I am in pretty much the same boat you are, I have an 03 2500 that I put the leveling kit in, The reason for the kit is to keep from dragging the front bumper when I do go off road for those that are wondering why someone puts the leveling kit in to begin with, and like you I want the rear end up higher but not for the looks.

I plan on finding a wrecked 3500 and taking the rear springs out of it and putting them in mine to help me when I am pulling my fifth wheel. It will raise the back end but also help because my fifth wheel takes my truck down in the back just past level which points my lights up, I was going to put in a set of air bags and a may still do that after the 1 ton springs are in if I am not happy with the way the springs work with the fiver.

Contact Don Thuren at ThurenFabrications. He makes an extended shackle that I think has three different bolt holes for choice of rear lift. I think the shackles are actually made to help accomodate more travel with upgraded suspension, but they should work to give a little lift in the rear as well.

They are very well made, included a zerk fitting, and run around $268 IIRC...

The overloads won't help unless you have about 2500+ lbs of pin weight. I've got 2000lbs with my fifth wheel. With the pin weight, generator, firewood and 60lbs of Yellow Lab I'm still more than 1" off the overloads.

You could put extended stops so the overloads come into play sooner. Then you'll be buying the overloads and the stops.

Just put air bags in it and call it a day. Thats what I did.
