I have installed an Edge Ez w/boost elbow, on my Dodge Diesel, 03 Standard output, auto tranny. The selling dealer said in his ad, this item (Edge EZ), would check the timing, tubo boost pressure, and the diesel parameters. Does anyone know about this product? I am impressed with the out come of this installation. I have a nice homemade torque tube, and a Flo Thru muffler. Very much improved. I run 60 mph at about 1600 rpm's, and 65 mph at 1800 rpm's. I fueled up and ran 30 miles. My on board computer said 25.4 mpg at 60 mph. I have a cover on my bed, and I know that helps. Any comments?

 

I don't know much about the EZ except it raises fuel pressure and your overhead will be way off now. The high milage looks nice displayed but it is not correct with the box now. That is if you had one that was even close to begin with.

 

RonP is right. I ran one for a couple years and the power increase was nice but the overhead showed a mileage increase of 2 mpg while in fact it had dropped 2 mpg equaling the overhead being 4mpg off. My truck dynod at 299hp/554tq which is a little higher than any other SO/EZ that I've seen. It's a good box but I "Needed" more power....

 

I just put an EZ in my 03. I run 35" tires also.. My overhead read 17.5 at the very highest w/o the chip. I filled up and hopped on the freeway for my 35 mile stint home and the overhead read 23mpg for my first run on the freeway.. My tranny shifts much smoother also as I have an automatic.. I will be pulling my toyhauler 800 miles each way at the end of Feb.. I was getting 9mpg's w/o chip at 75mph.. I will chime in after my 1600 mile trip..

 

I am also running an edge EZ in an 05 with auto. I was thinking I need a monitor is the outlook the only one that will work with EZ. or do I need one at all I am not running guages either maybe just some guages????? Thanks in advance

 

No monitors are currently being made specifically for the EZ. The Juice module will work with the Edge Attitude monitor, or with the Edge A2 monitor/GPS unit, but I am not aware of anything that will monitor through the EZ.

I would suggest getting a set of gauges to monitor your performance, or sell the EZ and get a Juice and Attitude combo. This combo will allow you to adjust the power levels all from the comfort of your cab, and will give you many other parameters to adjust or monitor that you dont get with a standard gauge. Just a thought!

 

Thanks for your help HP upgrades. I have read that the juice is to much for stock tranny might have to wait till I get some tranny upgrades. The bullydog outlook will work with the EZ or not. Thanks.

 

I think Quadzilla's new box works with just about all of the boxes out there. It's coming out real soon if not already....
