just got off the phone with my dealer here and he tried to tell me that the 48re is not even being installed on the trucks yet <br><br>well after argueing with him that others had it i finally convinced him to go to the dc web site and look for himself<br><br>also i went to the web site and built a truck with the 48re and faxed it to him<br><br>sure enough there it was in black and white<br><br>now for the question he is telling me that he can not get the truck i want from any dealer because the only way to get a 48re is to special order them for a customer<br><br>he is saying that all the trucks sent to dealers without being ordered by a customer is going to be a 47re till august ???<br><br>is this true or have anyone seen the 48re siting on the lots without being customer ordered<br><br>is this just another uninformed salesman ???<br><br>or is he just not wanting to find the truck i want from someone else and hoping i will take what is available ???<br><br>this is the largest dealership in our state and with 60% of thier business trucks they should know what was going on

As usual, the last place you want to go for up to date and accurate information is a dealership. I just test drove an unsold HO/48RE setting on my dealer's lot. I guess it's possible someone backed out on the order. :<br><br>I think your dealer will soon find that autos int the cummins will be the 48RE in very near future. Someone posted that the 47RE is actually finished and isn't being produced anymore.
