Proper way to change a Air dogg fuel fiilter?

Well i have changed two filtes on my system and i need to know if im doing something wrong when i drain out the smaller fillter via pet **** it never seams to stop draining ( gallon or so of fuel comes out and still goes) so i then close it up unscrew the fuel filter and replace it and fuel still leeks out of the fuel filter side.

So can someone tell me the right way to do this or am i always gonna have a mess all over the place everytime i change it etc

thanks
-Chris

best way to stop it from doing that (it is siphoning out of the tank because the pump is lower than the fuel level) is to put a ball valve between the pump and tank. shut valve off to service, turn valve on to run. good to go

and you have an antitheft device that will take just a moment to enable and if it's driven away, it won't be too far from where you left it. I just might do this to mine.

Just wait to change the filter until you are under 1/4 tank. That should be low enough to switch it out without it siphoning out. Don't open the petcock at all, just unscrew the filter and that should break the siphon. I've never had a problem doing it this way.
