Problems with Frantz?

OK, on Saturday I have installed Frantz bypass filter on my 06 Cummins, took it for a test drive and noticed a humming, drone type noise in the cabin. It starts at around 1800 RPM and goes away at 2500 RPM. It almost sound like air flowing through big long pipe, deep, constant and slightly changes with RPM. For those that installed Frantz, have you experienced something similar?

Sounds like the oil bypass valve is working over time?

Just a quick update.

Pulled the Frantz out and the noise is gone. With some help, we came up with two possibilities for the noise; excessive flow, or bad filter location(firewall).
First, I will install a restrictor and see if that helps. Will update shortly.

I bet having it on the firewall caused the noice. Mine is located on the passenger side battery tray and I have no noise with it. There are a lot of different frantz's, the one I have was a NOS from back in the early 70's and it had the restrictor built into it already.

I too agree that it's the mounting location. You definitely need the restrictor orifice. If you don't have a restrictor orifice go to http://www.wefilterit.com and get one.
