PRoblem with my 07 5.9

My 07 truck has 8000 miles on it. I took my first long drive last week, 210 miles straight. I shut the truck off and when I restarted it hot, it felt like it was running on 4 cyls so I had it towed in and the dealer replaced the #4 injector and the entire harness...The same day I drove it home and went to restart it hot, and felt like it was missing on a cylinder so I checked the code and it read 0303 which means cyl 3 misfire...anyone have a similar problem? 2 injectors going bad means something is causing it right? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know what you've got going on there, but I think I'd let the dealer mess with it if it is under warranty.

Hopefully they don't try to blame bad fuel quality.

I had #5 go out with similar mileage as you, but I had some white smoke was all. Yep, let them take a look at it.

Weird...It went to the dealer again. and said no codes are coming up..It flashed an 0303 right before I brought it in...They can't find anything wrong with it...It only does it after being driven on longer distances...

If you cal 210 miles long distance then that is your problem. You don't drive your truck like you stole it.

Put that engine thru the ringer and wear it in some. It's just hungry for some real work.

Oh yeah I only have 103k on mine and have been running 100% Biodiesel for the last 2 years. I tow a 5th wheel and and have been accross country 2 times with 2 different 5th wheels and it just loves it when I work the snot out of it.

I don't call 210 miles a long distance...That's really my problem...My 91 went 400k without a rebuild, and this piece of crap goes down at 9000 miles, without any abuse...I love the Cummins but too bad it's surrounded by shotty Dodge workmanship....Bad wiring and poorly made ECU...No wonder our car companies are going under...pretty sad really

I do work mine and is also a daily driver. I agree 10000%, my truck runs the smoothest and quietest after I have just completed a long haul pulling the heavy horse trailer over the grades. I pull into a fuel station and you can barely tell it's running! LOL
