Pro Comp ES3000 or ES9000 Shocks

Are anyone of these shocks any good, I just installed the 2 inch spacers in the front and rear and need shocks since the stock ones are shot.

I 2nd the Bilsteins. Procrap isn't that great of a brand, just great advertisement 'cause 4 Wheel Parts owns them. I had the 9000's & they were OK but not for $90 apiece. Just my .02.

I don't know why but I find it entertaining that the Chevrolet crowd (which got Bilsteins with the Z71 off road package) prefer the Rancho 9000's and over here the Bilsteins are preferred over the Ranchos.

Well im not knocking the Bilsteins.....I have no doubt they are a great shock.

But, I am very very happy with my Rancho 9000 adjustables. Definately much improved over the stockers and help handling and ride. The adjustability with 9 settings is really nice depending on the weight of the load you might be carrying.

As far as I know, the Bilsteins are not available with an adjustable shock.

I don't know much about the pro-comps....but have heard they are not quite as good as Rancho or Bilstein.

The 3000 are a hydrolic design, the 9000 are a nitrogen design. I replaced mine with these cause all 4 and boots where 100 bucks. I wanted something better than stock that would last, blew mine out real fast. Heavy motor, and cruddy shocks, yeah. Dad has him on his cummins too, so far 60,000 out of them, no leaks. There not the greatest shock but there better than stock and they'll last longer. I'm going to put on Blistens in my future as well, my future just ain't yet

Are the Bilsteins 5100's longer than the stock shocks, as it stands now with the 2 inch lift the stockers have become travel limiters when going over speed bumps.

What I meant is that the Ranchos actually have a **** that you can turn at your own desire for up to 9 settings. Some people may want a firmer ride and some maybe a softer ride. I have mine set for 7 out of 9 on the front shocks (due to the weight of the cummins and Ranch Hand w/winch) and my rears are set at 3 while running empty. If I want to haul something heavy I can easily turn the rears up to a firmer/stiffer setting.

I am not knocking Bilstein at all. They are great shocks. Maybe better than Ranchos for all I know. I just don't think they offer the user the ability to dial them in to their own personal tastes. Bilstein takes doesn't offer that decision to the user of his truck.
