Power Train warranty coverage?

What will DC cover on the power train warranty? Also, do they care about the owner being an origional owner? I have an 04' w/63K miles that the water pump has crapped out in. Started leaking today at lunch, just figured I would check in here first befor calling the dealer.

TIA.

I think it covers the second owner and it only cover the tranny and differentials. No water pump.

Actually on an 04 you're still covered under the 7/70 powertrain, OR the Cummins 110K mile warranty for a water pump. The water pump is attached to the engine, right? I'd think it'd be covered under the Cummins warranty at the very least.

Not sure about the second owner issue though. Does that make a difference?

Water pump is listed under section 2.2F of my 03 warranty book for covered drivetrain parts. Factory warranties carry over to any owner until expired.

Yup. You should be covered to 100k on the water pump.

If it is the 7/70, then I think the warranty work is free. If you are in the 100K mile for the Cummins, I think it costs a $100 deductable....

Engine and engine parts are part of the "powertrain" warranty.

u would have had to pay the $150 transfer fee within 30 days if u are the second owner or else coverage on the 7/100 drops to 5/100
