Unhappy Power steering pump

Guys,
You might remember my earlier thread "whine while turning".
I thought it could be the power steering pump, but decided to put in some more since it was a little low.
Well no improvement, probably worse, and getting worse with every mile.
So I'm on the hunt for a new pump and had a couple questions.
Where is the best place to buy? dealer? auto zone?
Buy new or reman?
Would this be covered under warranty? 54,500k
How hard are these to change on your own? Really don't want to go to dealer unless they're paying.....
What kind of input can you guys give me? Any will help.
Thanks

$88.80 plus shipping at this place, new OEM.

I would get a new pump not a reman. I would also not buy any kind of mechanical parts at places like Auto-zone, just my opinion. I have never had any luck with there stuff.

You have 7/70 powertrain warranty still in effect? I would guess PS Pump would be part of that?

How'd the job end up going? Any problems or stumbling blocks?

I started having issues with my steering yesterday and after checking out the truck am starting to think I'm headed in the same direction.

I agree big time. brought the life time warrtinty pump from atuo zone and after replacing it 3 times I went to the steeler for a new one. Keep in mind, it was on a freinds ford, NOT my dodge. good luck

job went ok, need a 18mm line wrench. didn't get rid of whine though! must be something else.
traded the current truck last saturday for a new 6.7! might not be a good move, but we'll see. didn't trade because of the whine, other issues.
i hope i have good luck with the new one, will pick it up this saturday!
