i use the quad monster intake. no dirt, dust anything on the turbo inlet tube.

my friend(capnram) uses a k&n on his '99, drives mostly in the dirt and hasnt had any problems either.

I know mine is louder(boost scream). but that's about it.

I just bought an AFE II and love it, however, I ran a K&N in my 99 and then in this 02 until just now. Don't worry. Just clean it often and don't over oil it.

72000 miles on the ticker and the turbo and intake tube are spotless w/ the AIRAID set up, I also have one on my hemi/Commander w/ no issues. Drive it like you stole it!!

So what is the best NON-oil filter??? Is progaurd 7 oil? What about the new AEM everyone is talking about?

I was wondering about the AEM too. I hear good marks from everyone on the AFE stg2 w/ pro-gard and ive been thinking about getting one but its a little pricey for the time being. The AEM is more affordable and seems like a good design. I like the metal intake tube and the oilless design as well. Any thoughts? Anyone out there have one and like/dislike?

I just put the AEM intake with dry filter on Wed. night. So far I like it. You can really hear the turbo spool up. Easy to install. The filter minder hasn't budged with the VA and Quad boxes turned up or while hauling 23k of dozer and trailer.

I guess I like the idea of the AEM because it is a dry system like the BHAF but I worry about filtration until there is an independent study... like has been done on the AFE progaurd 7.

Scotty System is what I run. I love the uni-filter on these. If you notice, the majority of off road sports all run uni-filters on there bikes, Atv's, ect.

Don't worry about it, just place it in your truck and forget about it. You will make yourself go crazy reading everyone’s thoughts on this matter.
