PLEASE HELP, Tie Rod rubbing cross member

OK guys, I've found the mysterious squealing coming from my truck. It looks like the tie rod (I think thats what it is) is rubbing the frame cross member. How did this happen and how do I fix it?? Heres a couple of pics to help show what Im talking about. Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Have you taken your truck in for the front steering recall? If you haven't when you do let them take a look at that also.

Yes it has been in for the recall, this started after that. Also, the closest dealership is 50 miles away and I really would like to resolve this myself if possible.

Try and loosen the clamps and turn the bolts away from the x-member.Also -if they replaced your linkage, did they also replace the pitman arm?The new one is a different angle.

Don't know if they replaced linkage or pitman arm, they just performed whatever was in the recall.

05doolie, thanks for the tip. I loosened clamps, and rotated them down away from x member, that fixed it!! Thanks again for the help!!

Looks to me like a moron did the recall work. Check for loose parts!! Pretty hard to believe he was qualified to work on steering gear.
