I am looking for help identifying a transfer case for my 2004 Ram 3500 SLT, Quad Cab, Long Bed, Cummins 5.9, automatic trans, manual shift 4x4. Mine exploded running down the toll road in Northern Indiana. I do know mine is the NV271D. I have found a donor truck, a 2004 Ram 2500, Hemi, automatic trans, manual shift 4x4 NV271. Is the transfer case different from the 2500 to the 3500, and what about from the Hemi to the Cummins???
My VIN is 3D7LU38C84G196066
Donor VIN is 3D7KU28D4G118055
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Thanks, but I think I found the info I needed. From reading this link about the NV271D. These have to be the same. So for anyone else possibly needing this info. Here is the link for the NV271D. They also have some good info on the NV273.
