Herb,
Did your run the ATRs or STRs? I have read nothing but good reviews on the ATRs, which is a all terrain tire, not the street tire (STR).

I too, looked at the ATR's. I like them. I don't know anyone who has them, though.

I run the STR's and think they're pretty good. Quite ride and good traction in the rain. Then again anytime you can get a set of E rate tires for $420 installed makes one happy.

I saw a lot of reviews on tirerack also, and actually they were all quite good. I like the look of the tire, and for Pirelli's they are very affordable. I was just curious of others opinions.

I bought a set a set of the STRs. The price was somewhere around $91 each, and I thought that was a steal. Original tread was very deep so I thought they would really last, but when I pulled them off after about 10K miles, I was amazed how much they had worn. My guess is they will be gone in another 12-15K. For comparison, my OEM BFGs should go more like 60K, and I have hammered them every bit as hard. One of the STRs required alot of weight, but placing that tire on the rt. rear made this a non-issue. As stated by others in the T'Rack reviews, these tires really pick up stones for the first 5K miles or so. Kinda annoying. Ditto on the excellent traction in the wet, and I had mine micro-siped for the snow, and they worked very well that way. Even at that price, I won't use them again.

I am interested in the Pirelli ATR's, not the STR's. Thanks for the input.
