Started running rough. Lost power, limped it home last night. Checked code w/ the Smarty Jr. and these 2 codes were present. whats next? It happened once b4. I disconnected both batts and unplugged the injector harnesses and it reset. That was about 50k miles ago. this time it didn't work. any thoughts????

Sounds like your valve cover gasket with the injector wiring harness is shot. Everything relates to injector #2 per DTR Wiki help with fault codes.

I have had that same thing happen to my 06 7 times... 5 times it was injectors (dealer replaced 1 at a time) and 1 time it was the valve cover gasket and the last time it happened I limped it home over 100 miles and when I went out to pull it in the shop it started and ran great. I ran it like that untill the new F1 injectors came in.
Good luck,
Topper

Thanks for the help. I set the truck back to stock< then disconnected both injector harnesses< the disconnected both batteries< then waited 10 mins, reconnected everything, and truck runs fine again> then reloaded smarty back to level 2. I think Monday I will order the valve cover gasket. The local 5 star will have it in on Tues. Price for Business link customers is $200. It lists for $250. anything special I need to change it, as it looks pretty straight forward?

It's very easy to change! The 1 warning I would give is be VERY CARFULL. when you reattach the wires to the injectors the posts are VERY EASY to break. How do you think I know??? I think it's 14inch pds.Now understand when my valve cover gasket went bad it went bad. What I mean is when I had the codes and rough running and it came and went it was always an injector. When the gasket went bad it never ran ok untill it was changed.
How many miles do you have on you truck? Injectors and the valve cover gasket is covered for 100 k.
good luck,
Topper

Thanks Topper. I now have 187,000 miles on the clock so I am way out of warranty. Is there a way to check if a injector is bad when i have the valve cover off?

You can run the truck with the valve cover off with no trouble. It wont even make much mess. When it happens again you can pull 1 wire at a time off each injector and see which injector doesn't change the way the engine runs when you lift a wire. The truck will through a code each time you pull a wire off an injector but just reset with your Smarty.
