So does anyone know how much total oil is used to get it to flow out the top pto bolt? Is this the easiest way or is it measure out the correct amount ahead of time?

CRXsi,
Don't know. Didn't flow out the hole with 6 qts for me. I measure before pumping fluid in.

A quick update here. Since draining the "extra" fluid out of my tranny, about 98% of the leak is gone!!! There is still the lone drop on the tranny housing but that's it. No more stains on the driveway like before. I don't know guys. My tranny shifts fine as ever, so I ain't gonna gripe about it!!!

Supa, glad it workout for you. But I'm still concerned with your front transmission seal.
So far I have little over 1k miles (600 of it towing) and no leaks yet.

Sorry to drag this thread back to the front, but I wanted to give you all an update. Since my last post on 10/28, all of the drips/leaks have stopped under my truck!!! It's bone dry under there save for the lone drop or two on the crankcase vent tube. Does this mean my front tranny seal may be bad??? I hope not. She still shifts as fine as ever and I'm getting real good mileage too!!!
