overdrive off question

overdrive off question
My truck only goes to second with overdrive off any ideas?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
And it goes through normal changes with OD off? First to second: second to third: Lockup: fourth and lockup. I would rather suspect missing second gear and going into direct at 30 MPH or so.

No.I can count the gears as it downshifts from overdrive to second and I can tach it out but will not shift until I turn od on than it is normal.
