What are the 48RE trans gurus doing for the 23 one-side clutch and steel overdrive direct in the overdrive unit? I'm gathering the parts and pieces for when the trans gives up on my truck. All I can find are the double sided clutch plates. Chrysler went to these style clutch for a reason, I would like to replace them with the updated parts when the time comes. Thanks!

I would probably call one of the big trans builders. Probably get the best answer from them. I have a standard so not real sure what the answer would be.

 

I think they only used the double sided ones in 03 maybe 04.
