mmm are the cummins direct injection? or indirect?

KOD all Cummins engines are DI and have been for over 40 years. Cat used/uses pre-cup engines but have like most moved to DI a simpler more efficient system producing less emissions and more power. The trucking industry went directly from mechanical DI to ECM (Electronic Control Module) without half breeds -except Cat PEEC- unlike the automotive sector. The Cummins engine benefits from Big engine technology, DC puts there own ECM on to cheapen its performance capabilities and control warranty issues. PK
