What kind of power is it rated to handle before it looks like a pretzel?

Still trying to find a 2008 so I can see if it will fit on a 2003 to replace my 2-piece.

Usually an aluminum driveshaft will be of a thicker material. I had one built for my Chevelle a few years back. It was a 3" tube with .125" wall thickness and was rated at 1000hp.

ya but there is a big difference in the size of driveline components built to handle horse power than stuff built to withstand torque, I know my Kenworth has bigger driveshafts than any dodge and its only 550 horse but 1850 Ft Lbs, torque will destroy alot more stuff then horsepower ever could

I think steel is the common material for drive shafts because any welder with a bit of experiance can build them, not everone can weld aluminum. I might be wrong but thats my theory

I understand that entirely. Plus the fact that that torque is used to push MUCH higher weights... BUT,
they just use thicker walled tubing... ie.. .250 or .375" wall thickness. Pretty darn strong stuff.

Do you have the part#? I have the same truck. Does it stop the takeoff stutter?

What is the benefit in going to a 1 piece? What difference did you notice Diezel 11?

The one piece will cure the shutter on take off. If you don't have that problem then you don't need to replace it.

Also if the truck is under warranty then Dodge will replace it free of charge if you complain about the shutter.
