They sell a brand name, at a lower price because of predetermined discounts based on enormous volume buys...

Don't refute the source and price if you are getting the same product for a lesser price....

That said, I always run the best oil. I have limited to no experience as of yet with diesels, but if I can get the same quality product at a lesser price I tend to go that direction.

If an oil meets specs, then it meets the requirements to fall into it's intended category.

Do any of the higher priced oils exceed the specifications?
Make an intelligent decision based on some research....

As far as oil for my new truck and change intervals, I am still researching...
We are not talking about name brand oil like Mobil One we are talking about Wally World Super Tech brand oil.

The only reason I was going to use Super Tech was because it was still the CI4 spech oil instead of the new CJ4. Also, I think I read an article in TDR awhile ago regarding oil performance and I think that the Super Tech did pretty well.

I was told super tech was made by Havoline. Has antbody heard that? Is'nt Havoline also associated with Valvoline?
