oil seepage?

oil seepage?

Is it normal to have some seppage of oily type residue from the engine block, towards the first three cylinders, near those bolts????

I doubt the seepage is a good thing. I notice after about 7K miles on my oil filters that they start to leak and need to be replaced. Tried to tighten and that does not help.

I remember that you had an 04 and traded it in for your newer truck, has the shake gone away? and is your gas mileage better, just curious cause mine is still around 14.5 (city)- 18 (freeway) and i didnt get the TSB flash for mileage. i am afraid that the truck wont run well. Did a reflash for something on my 01 and it trashed the performance of the truck.

I was told it is normal. The tech said he could fix it, but it would probably do it again shortly thereafter. When I look at others engines, thats the first thing I look for, and it's usually there.
