Question oil pressure

Can someone tell me how much the oil pressure guage should move. The truck is an 2004.5 cummins 600 with 20K miles. I just purchased the truck a week ago and changed the oil today. After changing it I noticed the oil pressure guage varing greatly with the RPMs, I hadn't noticed this prior. At idle it is just above what I guess is 20, but at around 2K RPM it is well above the 40 mark.
The oil is Delo 400 and there are no leaks. The guage never falls below the "normal" range and the check guages light has not come on.

Someone please tell me this is normal.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

NORMAL NORMAL NORMAL

Yep, normal.

Besides the gauge is a faux gauge anyway. It's just a needle to make you feel happy, it gets an input from the computer as long as pressure is normal(above 6psi)
