Oil Leak?
I have a 2005 2500 CTD 4x4 that is leaking a few drops of oil from a black hose that extends down near the oil pan on the drivers side of the truck. I recently had the truck in to the local dealer for an oil change @ 10,000 miles. Prior to the oil change I did not notice it leaking. When I called the dealership they told me the black hose is a breather hose and nothing is wrong with the truck. Is the oil leak normal?

yfz431,
All Cummins diesel engines have this vent. It is a crankcase vent. It vents combustion gasses from the crankcase so they don't settle so much in the lube oil. Nothing to worry about
