What is the mixture?

What is this mixture I keep reading about. I have tried to find what it is and why you need it, but unable to find a post. What is power service and where do you get it and what does the Marvel Mystery Oil do in the mix?

Thanks.

You can get Power Service at any diesel truck stop. Marvel Mystery oil has been around since Henry Ford's day. Both are fuel / oil additives. Just read the directions on the label.

The mix is about 25% mmo and 75% ps and you can get them both pretty cheap at walmart.
The lucas additive actually works a tad better and no mixing!

Yep, thats it!
It really helps my engine- - less noise, better mpg.
Saves me $.08 per gal after costs

I have been using 16 oz. (this is twice the label rate) of "Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube" with every other fuel stop, as well as filling the fuel filter everytime I change it. I havent really noticed much of a difference but it gives me a little pice of mind knowing that the LP and IP are getting abit more lube. However I have been told that you can accompish the same thing using a gallon of Canola Oil for alot less money. Canola = $4.00 vs. Lucas = $27.00

My "mix" is 32 oz power service + 8 oz marvel mystery oil. I add 1 oz of this mix to each gallon at fillup. 28 gallons will get 28 oz of mix.

So if I am to understand correctly..... you are running "used" oil through your fuel system???? The same used oil that just absorbed all of the unburned hydrocarbons and waste metals from your engine? Im not sure if I could do that or not. JMO

I tried everything you guys mentioned and I agree lucas is the best fuel addative, but it is too expensive. I buy a gallon of powerservice and non-detergant 30wt. motor oil. I mix up 16oz of each and I have two fillups worth. I've also used 2-stroke oil, but the motor oil is .88 cents a quart. I think I'll try the canola oil now and see how that works. I like the special concauktions.

You would be correct "used" motor oil! We have made a filter set-up to filter the oil. We use coffee filters that filter between 2 and 5 ppm. The oil is filtered through 4 filters (a very slow process). Then we mix it with 2 gallons of fuel and add it to the tank. 42000 miles and no problems! Yes it was a hard thing to do "put used oil in the fuel tank are you crazy" uhhh YES! Been called worse!
