Oil Filter Mount - Paralllel Filter Possible?

Looking at the top of the oil filter on the Dodge Cummins, there are two plugs in the top of the mount. I'm wondering if it would be possible to use those for a parallel filter with the appropriate steel hoses, fittings, and filter mount?
Or are those just test ports with very little flow?
Can anybody put some light on this?
Thanks!

they will flow as much as a 1/8" fitting would flow.. however, the filters would be in series.. both those ports are post filter.. many pickup oil from those ports for a bypass filter setup..
