Oil Filter

What brand of oil filter do you all use? Cummins has always recommended using Fleetguard on their “big time” engines. Does anyone know if this hold true for the 600?

I think most of us use the Fleetguard filters for oil and fuel. Can't go wrong with them.

I use the "stratapore" version, most bang for the buck.

Yep...cost effective if ordered through a cummins dealer (not dodge) or a place like Geno's Garage.

I like the AMSOIL oil filters myself. They work much better with the AMSOIL or any brand oil and synthetic oil.
But I don't chanke my oil anyway. I just change the filter and or by-pass filter and add makeup oil in the new filter. I save alot of money that way

What do you mean you don't change your oil? Ever?

As long as the analysis comes back good then I don't have to change the oil. All I do is change the filter every 7.5k miles or six months and the By-Pass every 15k miles. I do have to put oil in the new filters prior to installation
