My question was why the color stayed Amber on the 03 for up to a month or more, and turned Black on my 06 a day after it was put in. And I do not agree with your statement that you can’t tell the condition by feel, you most certainly can tell the condition by feel, if it’s diluted by fuel, or coolant you will be able to tell the condition by feel and smell and sight in some cases.
