What does an oil change cost? Dealership sells maintenace package and oil change, lube etc. comes to around $23/$28 per change. That seems really good. Anyone take them up on this ?

Wow! 23/28 on a diesel?? It cost me 23.02 in Materials at wholesale buying in bulk... I charge 44.95 +tax and that is a deal here where I am! >> And I have a Mobile Service!! Go with the dealer if you can deal with waiting for it!

At that price pay for 10 oil changes now. As someone else has already said, supplies alone cost that much.

 

I'll bet the $28 oil change is their special for a gasser that holds 5 quarts.

 

but once the contract is signed & paid for... not too much they can do to back out legally unless you allow it

 

I was offered that same deal. Normal price for an oil change at that dealer is $59.95. Buy upfront, you pay about $31 a change.
I said no, since you get locked in at that dealer, and no chance of any upgrades (like synthetic).
