I'd take it in to the dealer. The only time mine came on was when it was 8* outside and the truck sat for 3 days. It might need a reflash.

With 4500 miles on it? Maybe if you got some bad fuel. Have you checked to see what the code was? Cycle the key 3 times and it should pop up on your odometer display.

Turn the key on, off, on, off, on and a code will read in the odometer. I had code 2509 with only 2300 miles on my truck. I called the dealer and they didn't seem to care, said as long as engine light isn't flashing, it's probably something with the fuel I had just got. It went away after two or three starts and it hasn't been back.

Not sure of the exact code but there is a flash for the air temp sensor up on the airbox tube near the box throwing erroneous codes. Mine did it when the temp was cold out and then eventually went away when cycling the key later in the day. The TSB fixed the issue. 18-005-06 Rev B.

I know your odometer has to be on total mileage and not on trip for that to work, or at least on mine it does. Should show code on your odometer on dash. Don't go past off. just on off on off on......should cycle through codes then say Done.

The exact same thing happened to me at 5072mi, it was the fuel rail pressure sensor, just a hiccup and a reflash all was ok. If the truck runs fine I wouldnt stress it much, or you can take it to auto zone theyll read the code for free.

I had it to. It was something to do with the air intake or air filter. I wasn't at the dealer more than 15 minutes. Barely had time to sit down.

Don't worry about it. Just let the dealer run the code and tell you what's up. If you trust your dealer that is.
