NV5600 and high idle

For an '05 do I just need to ground pin 22 on the connector closest to the firewall on the ECM? I already have the mode enabled too.

TIA, Eric

Yes on the ground pin 22. I added enough wire to the pigtail so that I could ground it inside next to the steering column in case I ever wanted to install the clutch cut-out switch.. The pigtail is Cummins part # 3164263 they are about 1/2 the price(13-15$) of the dodge units..

Try Genos Garage as well..

Cummins part # 4089851 Clutch switch kit

Dodge P/N 05026273AB. This switch is also called the "Switch - Clutch Interlock / Upstop"

It is my understanding this setup comes with the ECM pigtail as well..You might want to double check that prior to ordering

Thank you for the part numbers. I read somewhere that the switch is about half price thru cummins vs. going thru dodge. I know the switch is still more expensive than the pigtail but i feel safety is always a factor. I will have to see if MHC Kenworth has it in stock.

What's the clutch switch do over just using the pigtail. Also if just using the pigtail will the high idle kick off when the brake pedal is depressed?

Thanks again for the numbers!

The clutch switch will disengage the hi idle just like hitting the brake pedal does.. It is just another safety feature. Some dealerships won't hookup the hi idle without it.. By installing the jumper yourself you take the liability monkey off there backs.
