theirs more then that in the 06 at 70 i'm at 2300 rpms where before with a nv 5600 the rpms are around 2k. its like haveing 4:10's and a nv56. The g56 in my 07 lasted 12k miles before it started going out so far the one in the 06 has lasted to 59k.

For those that have the G56 don't forget, that you guys have a dual mass flywheel with two clutches. Whereas the NV5600 is just a standard clutch, clutch plate and flywheel combination if I am not mistaken.

were the tires the same size? my nv was 2000 @65 AND THE G56 is 63 mph.
Avoid G56 if you can. There have been a lot of failures, even on stock trucks. They really show their true colors above 550hp. My little brother had to detune his truck because G56 failure.
Well there are a number of Dodge Forums and thats new news.Theres been NV5600 failures with more h.p. also.Be kinda hard to avoid a G56 since midyear 05 up thats all there is if you want a manual trans.
Anything will break. I own both the 5600 and the g56. I used to prefer the the NV5600 but when it dies I will be swapping in a G56. The wife even asked me how hard it would be to do the swap in hers due to driving my 95! Parts are not getting any easier to find and atleast the G56 is in production still. Not to mention that the G56 makes the truck feel 100 HP more powerful than the NV4500 ever did. If the RPMs are the problem buy the 07 AG code that doesnt have the crappy overdive (which I love with 3.55s). The G56 is the future folks. I am a gearhead and have no idea why anyone would try shuvving 600HP through these trucks. Buy an 18 wheeler at some point. It isnt rocket science that things explode with over 1000 ftlbs at the rear wheels! Its simple physics.
