NV5600 fluid, does this sound correct???

On the transfer case, no. The NV5600 6 speed, though, has a magnet down in the bottom of the case, so if you want to wipe that off you need to pull the side plate off and reach in there to get it.

So does anyone know the difference between a 5w30 synthetic motoroil and the pennzoil synchromesh stuff? Just curious.

You mean other then the fact that one is made to be used in your engine and the other in your transmission and the fact that they are not interchangeable?

The Pennzoil fluid meets Chrysler's MS-9224 specs for use in a NV5600 six speed manual transmission.

5W30 engine oil does not meet Chrysler's MS-9224 specs for use in a NV5600 six speed manual transmission.......
