Not always the LP

2 days ago I started having a dead pedal past 1/2 throttle. It was throwing a fuel delivery code I did not think it could be the filter as I change it every 8000 mi. and it only had 2 on it (fleetguard). I drained the fuel/water seperator a couple of times and it did not help. I was sure it was my Lp. I did not have another filter on hand so I went to the local auto zone for one and they handed me something I'm pretty sure was for a briggs and stratton mower. I finally found the right one on the shelf. I installed it and walla full performance returned. So I guess it's not always the LP. I was ready to winch it on the trailer and take it to the dealer. Oh, the filter was a Champion labs one. I know they make filters for a lot of folks I.E. Valvoline etc. I am a bit paranoid about this filter. Does anyone have any expieriance with them?
Thanks
Joe
