Normal Boost Pressure

I just got a set set of Dipricol gauges installed in my '06 and i've noticed that my boost pressure regularly reaches 32 PSI, is this normal for the newer trucks? The mechanic that installed them has an '02 7.3 powerstroke and says that the most he sees is 24 PSI. I know they're completely different engines but having nothing to compare it against I'm looking for some input.

I have Isspro gauges and my stock '06 peaks right at 32 PSI also.

According to my Attitude which does boost fooling from my understanding - I can hit 42 psi easy on the stock turbo set on level 3 so i think your OK.

Great, it sounds like everything is normal. And as a bonus the mechanic that put them in drove it before I picked it up and his comment was "Man, I can't belive the way these things pull!". Which is always nice to hear.

Don't know how true this is but I heard that the engine will make 10 horsepower for every lb of boost. 32 psi sure looks like 320 hp or so and that is close to what they are rated. Maybe the 24 psi the phord makes equals to around 240 hp. That sounds right too.

I have an '05, and I peak right about 30, then drops to 28. I would say your gauge is accurate.
