Re:normal boost pressure

Your boost levels sound normal for a "cruising" speed..our trucks can hit around 22lbs stock if pushed. with your wastegate it will go even higher if needed. it doesnt look like u have any fueling or timing mods so it shouldnt naturally boost too high. w/ a fueling box and your set-up, you could hit boost levels in excess of 30lbs though...( hmmm, dont u want a box now ;D )

Re:normal boost pressure

so what do you think barracuda? a nice ez edge work?

i would really like to wait until my warranty is over at 100k. i had a bad experience with a banks and it cost me a new injector pump

not being a gearhead i might have problems installing it. i have rebuilt a 74" harleys before so have some knowledge. really don't understand diesels tho.

Re:normal boost pressure

The EZ probably takes at the most 5 minutes to install. I used to get 20 pounds of boost, now I can get up to 32 with the EZ and a turnbuckle. Nice bump in HP.

Re:normal boost pressure

The EZ comes with good instructions (with picks) you only need to make 3 conections, 2 at the map sensor and 1 at the data link. All the proper conectors are provided pre wired. You only need a turnbuckle if the truck is an auto, if you have a stick you use the boost elbow provided with the EZ.

Here is a pic of how the turnbuckle is installed from Edge's website.

Like MLR1 posted this is only required with some auto's.
