Re:no muffler

Morning,

We too have had no muffler 2003's with our system installed with our muffler delete pipe, and weren't real happy with the sound. The spool up was much better, the EGT's were much lower and all the good things you get like extra HP and torque were as expected. But the sound just wasn't to our liking, then again there are folks posting here that like the 2003 straight pipe sound, guess that's why they make trucks in more than one color now isn't it!

Anyway our "Spiral Flow" muffler changes the tone and makes for a really good sounding system, they are avilable in aluminized and T-304 stainless steel. You will get basically the same spool up and HP Torque gains and EGT reductions with our muffler as with the delete pipe too.

Mrk @ DPPI

Re:no muffler

Hi Mark,

I saw you post a question elsewhere on the Aeroturbine muffler. I will let you know about milage gains if you are interested. Currently, the truck is stock with the exception of AFE drop in. If the areo is not to my liking, I may look you up for the muffler only....do have this option in 304??

Thanks in advance,

John

Re:no muffler

i have a banks muffler and love it. had another popular brand, a small 6 inch straight through, first and drone was awful. it was expensive trying another muff but worth it. egt's are pretty much the same but much less than stock. some on this forum do not like banks mainly bang for buck issues this is my first but won't be my last product from them.

Re:no muffler

Banks?

Is this straight through or off set inlet/outlet? I have inquired with Banks via email. They are sending info. If this aeroturbine doesn't cut it, I will try DPPI...if they do muffler only in 304 stainless(straight through)...wanting to hear from Mark C. I should probably just call them...... :

JKE,

Yes we have our Spiral Flow muffler in T-304 and in aluminized your choice. Call us at 866-455-7788 if you need us. I'm real interested to know if the aeroturbine is real or only more snake oil only so keep me updated if you would.

Mark @ DPPI

Re:no muffler

Thanks for the reply Mark. I will have it installed mid next week. I will post a new topic with my actual results and personal opinion on sound. Maybe a few other members will post the same about their muffs/exhaust.

I did a search and seems as though exhaust has not been discussed very much....??

Thanks again,

John

Re:no muffler

I had my muffler taken out this week. I really like the sound. I had them put in 4" not 3.5". It has a nice deep growl to it. If any of yall are going to take the muffler out I would recommend using 4". Kyle
