Hi all I'm new here , My 2007 dodge has been giving me trouble , for a while , took it to the dealer and they tell me the electric soleniod on the side of the turbo is bad ? causing intermittent boost ? and now there is no boost ? and I have these codes , U010c , P242F , P1451 ,
They say the part to fix the boost issue is $1500 ? can this be replaced without removing the turbo ? I need help ? my pocket book cannot afford this right now ? thanks guys

, I hope I didn't sound stupid , I am very knowledgeable around turbo's ,I have 2 grand national , and a 24 valve in the past and a duramax as well now , and also had experience with the vanes on the 6L fords , but this is something new to me with this turbo ? Why does it not set a map code then ?
clear the codes and take it for a rip and see what comes back..
the dealer is going to go the easy way and just start throwin expencive parts at it till ur broke and its fixed.
i tryed looking up these codes and i didn't find a thing.. are u sure thats what they gave you?
Heres a complete list of codes for that truck.

Thanks to the EPA, this is an all too common problem with the 6.7. Soot is sent through the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system to places where soot has no business being, and tends to clog up everything in its path. Do a search for "EGR cleaning" to start. This will provide you with much reading material. Then search "exhaust brake". As for the turbo itself, it is pretty much a non-repairable item at this point, but not always the culprit. How many miles are on your truck? Is it mostly city or highway? General recommendation on this forum is to always run with the ebrake and tow/haul on to keep the turbo vanes cleaner. The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is another bone of contention, and requires a good highway run to get the temperature up and allow for "regeneration" or burning the soot out of it. Many on this forum have deleted all of the EPA crap, with a reduction or elimination of the soot buildup and related problems. Lots of great information on this forum, so happy reading.
