New Toyo 37's

After 43K on the 35" Toyo MT's i did'nt feel comfortable to run them this winter. Just put on a set of 37's and are they big! What a pita to mount. Balancing was not near as good as the 35's and 7.5 oz was needed on one wheel. I do have some minor rubbing on the wheel well liners when turning. On the phone to Don Thuren and he will be making up some 1/2" longer control arms with some advice on possible fender trimming.

Just a bit hesitant to go run the two tracks as hard as I was with the 35's. I'll just have to wait for Don's control arms and then give it a hard run. Don also suggested full leaves to center the rear axle instead of my mini packs. Guess I've got to resupply the bombing fund. Ain't these trucks great!!!!!!

Toyo's are a big wide tire. You should clear barley w/ the 1/2" arms. Ask Don about the "909" fender yank....

That's not bad weight for balancing a 37". In contrast,my 285-75-16 BFG AT's on my '99 took a minimum of 5 ozs. up to 11 ozs. on one tire. BFG and Discount said entirely normal. "NOT"

My 37's only took minimal weight. 2 of them were only 1 oz, 1 of them was 2.? oz, and the last one was 3 oz's. I was extremely happy.

Did the tire place mount them with the dot on the tire and the valve stem hole on the wheel aligned ?

Could not find any mounting dots. Mounted them @ our company shop.

There is usually a small white dot, a little smaller than a dime, on one side of the tire. I've been told to line this up with the valve stem. It is supposed to be the high or low, I forget, spot of the tire. I've had good luck with this method.
